Walk for Water Guidelines

As a “signature” engagement event for Water Mission, the annual event is considered a core brand offering of the organization. Because of this, the Walk for Water program is identified with a unique visual identity created to consistently market to all audiences across all Walk events—from the flagship event in North Charleston to partner and regional Walks around the United States and beyond.

Although a unique “wordmark” in how the program is visually displayed, it aligns with the overall Water Mission visual identity. The Water Mission brand logo, colors, fonts, voice, and tone are used in consistent execution to align the event with the organization’s overall brand.

Event Name and Messaging

When using the event name in messaging (e.g., written, spoken), the following recommendations will help streamline proper event name usage as the Walk for Water continues to grow:

  • General usage in writing and talking points:

  • Subsequent reference(s): Walk for Water

  • Alternate reference: Walk

  • Incorporating the year and location:

The Walk for Water Shirt

A signature marketing piece for the event is the Walk for Water t-shirt. Typically, shirts are gifted to Water Mission by a generous partner. We do our best to match the shirt color to our brand color palette. The shirt’s design is simple—the wordmark is large and visible and a complementary design (including the event year) enhances the mark.
