Our Foundation

When Hurricane Mitch devastated Honduras in 1998, George and Molly Greene felt compelled to answer a request to create lifesaving water treatment systems. When the Greenes arrived in Honduras with the systems, they were shocked by the dangerously contaminated water in the communities they visited. Feeling called to combat the global water crisis, the Greenes sold their engineering company and, in 2001, founded Water Mission.

Our Brand Architecture

Our brand architecture is a branded house, in that every brand element (from names to visuals) points back to our central parent brand. This structure strategically places the Water Mission brand at the center and most visible part of everything we produce to bring about maximum awareness and visibility with our audiences in the marketplace.

Our Name and Registered Marks

Water MissionĀ® is the official brand name doing business as (DBA) for the legal entity Water Missions International. The legal name can only be used on approved formal or legal documentation, like government forms and grant applications. All external marketing, communications, and general correspondence will use the brand name Water Mission.
